When staying, you get your own private monk. They explain the meal is prepared using the rule of five. Five colors, five colors, five methods. It ends up in a pretty simple meal, no strong flavors overall, but very filling. It tastes particularly good after trail hiking for a few days! The area is quite unique and filled with UNESCO sites that are worth coming to see.
