Overall I was rather impressed with this vegan picnic basket I got for our year end lunch 🧺

The vegan cheese was Fairview’s cheddar and it was delicious! I had it in the baguette with some sun dried tomatoes from the potato salad (which was delicious!) and it made for a great starter 🥖 The figs, which came with the cheese and croutons, were so sweet and tasty.

The green salad was fine but nothing special and the cous cous with tiny pieces of pepper was a bit bizarre - not sure what we were supposed to eat it with. It didn’t feel well thought through and the balance of the basket was off in that there many starches (bread, potatoes and cous cous) but hardly any protein.

The fruit salad, while an unoriginal vegan dessert, was very fresh and tasty 🍇🍓

Even though this wasn’t the most creative or well balanced selection of items, I was so happy that there was a vegan option! Overall satisfying and satiating.
