I think this may be the first bag of Chia seeds that I’ve ever purchased. And after having some, it certainly will not be my last. I purchased them originally to be included in a chocolate protein ball recipe, and also just to simply add them to dessert (like sorbet, yogurt, etc) to enhance the texture and nutritional profile.
Chia seeds are just packed with nutrients. Two tablespoons have 10 g of fibre, 6 g of protein, and have 10% and 15% of your day’s requirement of calcium and iron, respectively. They also contain Omega-3 and Omega-6. According to Wikipedia, these seeds are also rich in other nutrients.
The only downside to these Chia seeds is the requirement to pick them out of your teeth afterwards. 😜
