When I first tried this I didn’t mind it. As far as I knew it was the only liquid egg on the market that was allergen friendly. Several weeks ago, I found out that Just Egg was suddenly soy free! I gave that a try and it made me realize that this Simply Eggless is so awful! Like I said, it wasn’t that bad when I first tried it. It actually scrambled and didn’t taste too bad as long as I seasoned it. I purchased it from Trader Joe’s once and it was horrible. It wouldn’t scramble. The overall taste and quality went way down after TJ’s started to carry it. It was gummy and gross. Nothing I did made it better. I tried cooking it at a lower temperature and it still didn’t cook well or taste good. I added the Kala Namak too and that didn’t make much of a difference. It improved the taste but it did not improve the quality. I’ve heard that it’s better used as an egg replacement for baking. I would be open to trying it like that but I’m quite hesitant to do so. Vegan, gluten free baking is already quite difficult. Maybe if they come out with a new and improved recipe I would be more open to trying it as a baking substitute then.
