I’m glad it took me this long to review this! 🙌 How else otherwise would I review this #bestpicks of a product with such a wonderful #reviewwithaview 😉
My friends and I got this at Changi airport on our way out of Singapore thinking we’d eat this on the way but we’ve actually been spoilt for choice in Kuching from the moment we landed! 🛬 We went to Gunung Gading national park yesterday, home of the Rafflesia, a plant I love so much I even have it tattooed on my hand 🤚 We had an incredibly hearty breakfast but round about 3 o’clock stuck on the mountain ⛰️ we started getting peckish 🐣 Luckily we had a couple snacks to share though! This #omnivoreapproved treat was one of them 😋
The texture of these #mushroomjerky are a lot softer and easier to chew than many other and gosh is it ever cheaper! They’re accessible too & available in most 7/11s I’ve been to in Singapore 🇸🇬 I personally don’t like #bbq flavoured items but this one is actually perfect 🤩 It brings out a sort of sweetness I had never really noticed or been fond of before.
The packaging of these kinds of #vegansnacks can be a bit unfortunate in their #deathbyplastic but short of imagining a world where we bring takeout containers and buy these in bulk ourselves or finding compostable alternatives for dinosaur plastic, I find it hard to imagine what the future of packaging could look like. Perhaps something #solarpunk artists can come up with? 😄
It was sort of encouraging that we only had to pick up about 6 candy wrappers on our way out (litterbugs everywhere) but it’s still kind of gleam to imagine the mess we’re making on our planet at a larger scale. Happy Monday & have a good week, folks 🤞

Sorry this should say “Smoky” and not “Smoke” 💨
Interesting, this was $1.80 🥲
Great review and thoughts about plastic & packaging. At least here there is a growing amount of bulk stores ... where even liquid things like soaps, cleaners, nut butters, jam, spring water etc can be bought if you bring your own container. Still, far, far, far from mainstream. 🙏
