When we lived in NYC, I used to go to the Greek supermarket in Astoria, where they had dozens of barrels of briny olive varieties to choose from. I don't have as many options where we are now, so I am glad that Trader Joe's carries several varieties of olives. These organic kalamata olives are my favorite. They are pitted which makes tossing them on top of salads, pizza, pasta or sauces much more convenient.
