This was one of the tempel’s signature sandwiches
Housemade herbal seitan,a nice sauce and a guacamole that’s made from peas instead of avos, as it’s better for the environment (I fully support this move!). It’s a really nice proper sandwich. Served with a side salad and chips (additional) if you like. Note that this can be part of their weekday lunch special, just ask them before ordering.
I wish more cafes were like Katzentempel. Fully vegan, socially and environmentally conscious. They Donate profits from their coffee to NGOs, avoid avocados in their guacamole. Plus the lovely residents are really popular. Great place to bring the family. They’re also opposite the Grassi museum.
