Likely the less banh mi-ish banh mi I’ve ever had.. The sandwich in itself wasn’t bad, but if it’s a banh mi you’re looking for I can only recommend you not to order this! The bread is filled with tofu pieces and a bit of veggies covered with industrial (overtly) sugary chili sauce. This is clearly not a masterpiece nor elaborated sandwich. But to be fair once again, it’s really not awful in itself, just not a banh mi :) The portion seems quite small but it’s surprisingly feeling!
PS: was all the more disappointed as I asked for them to put the sandwich in the lunchbox I brought to avoid a bunch of disposable plastic packaging but the waitress told me it wouldn’t fit in. So she gave it to me in a plastic box inside a plastic bag (which I explicitly asked not to have as I planned eating out just few meters away) when in fact the sandwich would have fit into my lunchbox 😢 I guess we still have a long way to go in making restaurants and retailers more familiar with the #byo concept!
