This vegan pesto is pretty good! Quite similar to the non-vegan pesto. In my opinion, it should have been creamier (thicker), because it was runnier than regular pesto. Really on the oily side. My real issue with it though, is that this tiny container was $6 and while reading the ingredients, I noticed that they use pumpkin seeds to prepare this, instead of pesto’s traditional pine nuts. Pumpkin seeds are cheaper than pine nuts. So it just rubs me the wrong way, that they’re selling this at this price, while using cheaper ingredients . Plus I believe that using pumpkin seeds instead pine nuts is what’s affecting the consistency of the product… The taste isn’t bad at all, but personally, unless I’m really short on time, I will be skipping this to make my own pesto…
