Vegan version of sarme, the popular Serbian stuffed cabbage leaves dish. Usually they have it on the menu every friday. Stuffing here consisted of spinach, cashew cream, and some type of vegan mince. The red sauce was quite sweet and it went great with the mashed potatoes. It cost 8.90€ on the wolt app, the dish came with a small salad and a slice of homemade bread. Eco packaging.

Traditionally in Bulgaria those are stuffed with plain white rice and its one of my favorite dishes 😋 Some people also add mince meat, but I've always liked them with the rice only ☺️
This is traditional in Romania also, unfortunately with minced meat; we call this dish sarmale and it's usually eaten with polenta. We have vegan version with mushrooms and rice, which is of course much better than meat.
