This is the first time I tried vegan smoked salmon - I know there are many recipes to do it at home, but I was intrigued when i saw this one in the store and immediately bought it (although it is pretty pricey considering it is just carrots and a spice-mixture...but the idea is great!).
I was a little disappointed with the taste, unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, it is fascinating that they manage to make it taste a lot (!) like smoked salmon (I mean the taste and smell really sticks to your fingers like the original fish-product) - but it had a really sour taste to it that me and my boyfriend didn't enjoy so much. Still, it is a great idea and I think, with a little work (and a little money from us buying the products) they will figure out how to make this the perfect smoked salmon alternative. Exited for the future!
