Chai Charng is Chinese for vegetarian intestine. Fairprice and other Singapore supermarkets have both canned and frozen Chinese style mock meat. Canned products have been criticized for potential toxins in the lining of the cans and for the sugar and salt often added. What I do is to rinse the products after removing them from the can. Today, I then combined the chai Charng in a no-oil stir fry including lots of fresh ingredients. #crf
