A wonderful start to my morning. In place of butter, Gathered Kitchen has opted to use coconut oil in their pastries. The texture is really similar and I would even argue that the coconut oil gave the croissant its crunch. The almond filling was thankfully quite mild and not sweet at all, so was the chocolate filling too. The bite is balanced and not overly sweet which is the usually downfall of the humble almond croissant.

My tummy is happy but at $8AUD my wallet is not so much 😅
