There’s a dedicated vegan menu at Wahaca. I chose this #beantostada for a nice protein hit and got a good boost from all the chili n spice in there too. Crispy, wholesome tostada rounds, held an attractive mix of #chickpeas #borlotti and #carlin beans dressed in habanero salsa and fresh tomato. I like the touch of reassurance they have by putting a little vegan flag in the food to show they’ve consciously made it vegan 🌱🌱🌱 Price £6.25 Good location on the Southbank of the river Thames. Handy for Theatre, Film and Music events. #veganinlondon #veganmexicanfood #vegfest

We were meeting friends on the Southbank in London and chose Wahaca. It’s a Mexican cantina constructed from shipping containers painted in rich colour. They have a separate menu dedicated to vegan food. ✔️ This small plate of tostada covered in #beetroot laid on a bed of #horseradish #avocadocream and salsa macha was zesty, spicy and tasty. Of course you’ve gotta love your beets for this one. We all enjoyed our selection of dishes. Price £6.50 The only snag was that the food is served in no particular order. That’s fine but the timing went right out and one of our group was left with no food while we all munched ours. She waited 10 minutes before any of hers arrived. I think that gap should be closed. The staff are really friendly on the whole and it has a vibrant atmosphere with a good view of the River Thames. 🌱

Felt a bit peckish between meetings today and landed on Wahaca for a quick snack #veganfastfood They have a fair selection of vegan options and will turn veggie dishes into vegan on request. The plantain taco was really good, as long as you like a dressing with a major chilli hit! #spicyhot I’d gulped down the first taco before I remembered to take a pic. #reasonablypriced at two for £6.75+service Wahaca state that they strive to make a seasonal menu with ingredients sourced as locally as possibly, or grown and transported with care for the environment Plantains #sourceoffibre #vitaminsA,C,B-6 #mineralsmagnesium&potassium
