I have always loved dosa. Udupi Palace has 14 different dosa and only 3 of them have dairy. The rest are all vegan. The dosa is served with sambar, coconut and tomato chutney. They are all good to eat with the dosa. I usually eat sambar like a hearty soup. I love the crispy crepe and the spiced potatoes and spinach inside. Udupi is another excellent vegan/vegetarian restaurant in Downtown Berkeley, Udupi Place at 1903 University Ave. This restaurant has been there forever. It has expanded to a larger space by removing the wall between two store spaces. Now it's back to a smaller space. I have been going there on and off for the past 20+ years. Sometimes I forget it's still there.
