Some Crust is not a vegan bakery but they do vegan cakes, cupcakes and cookies by special order. My friend surprised me with a birthday cake. It was quite tasty; a nice combination of a traditional sugary sweet birthday cake and a fluffy Chinese style cake with whip and fresh fruit, as the inside layer was filled with a vegan whip, blueberries and strawberries. The decorations were pretty and the frosting tasted just like a traditional buttercream. A nice vegan option, especially for folks who are seeking a traditional birthday cake. 🎂 #vegancake #vegandessert #birthdaycake

Some Crust does not keep vegan cupcakes on hand for grab and go but it’s easy to special order them. Unfortunately they only have white or chocolate options at this time. Since the only GF option was white, we went with chocolate for the vegan option. I’m not personally a fan of chocolate cake (I know, weird, right?) so my “taste” rating is more from my students’ perspective; they really enjoyed the flavor. I split one with my colleague. The texture of the cake was great! Moist and soft. The frosting was more of a whipped one (and I’m a buttercream girlie) and though quite sweet, it felt light. They let us have a mix of vanilla frosting and chocolate frosting, which was thoughtful. Though these are not my personal preference type cupcakes, they are definitely high quality and beautifully made. Recommend for the chocolate cupcake lovers! #cupcakes #vegancupcakes #chocoholic

I’ve recently started a new job and it is one that sometimes includes hosting events. I don’t always have control over what food items will be included, but when it’s up to me the food will be vegan, of course. I was happy to see that this beloved local bakery had cookies options that are both vegan and gluten free as well as vegan muffin options. (I do wish that they would include some vegan chocolate chip and “regular” flavor options.) This cranberry raisin cookie was massive! I was surprised how heavy it was even though I saw its size. It had a lovely flavor and texture, nice and soft in the middle. I love cranberries and a cranberry oatmeal combo is a delicious one. My preference is for a smaller sized cookie, but this is one that you can share with a friend or (try to) save half for later. I didn’t get to try any of the other goodies I ordered but they all smelled and looked lovely and everyone seemed pleased! Also, the service both when placing the order the day prior and picking up the morning of was wonderful. Super friendly and helpful! #sweettooth #vegancookies #cranberry
