Our second plate we shared was this summery gnocchi dish 🌞. The gnocchi was so perfectly made, soft and pillowy on the inside and had a nice crispiness on the outside. The grilled corn added nice sweetness and texture. The creamy chimmichurri sauce was packed with herby flavour! Plus some vegan feta and fried jalapeños on top! Every bite was delightful however it was pretty heavy so I’m glad I got to share it.

There were 2 new menu items so my cousin and I decided to share them both! First up, a hot honey halloumi sandwich 🤤. I’ve noticed a hot honey trend recently and I’m HERE for it. This vegan honey halloumi was deliciously sweet, spicy and creamy. It came with a tofu bacon jam that was to die for. It also had a pesto and pickled onions, in between two herby focaccia pieces. The head was so fluffy, and the filling was yummmyyyyy.

Wowww Rise Above’s wings are great! Made with seitan and coated in the crunchiest fried batter ever. The bbq sauce is sticky and sweet and super smoky. These were to die for!

This might have been one of the softest cheesecakes I've ever had, so I didn't really feel like I was having one. I liked it enough though!

"Marinated cremini mushrooms stuffed with dill cashew cheese & topped with sunflower seed pesto. " This was incredibly delicious. I'm surprised it hasn't appeared in the dish list for this restaurant. I adore the fact that they used what looks to be a repurposed escargot serving dish. I'm not sure what to make of the presentation but overall I was impressed in person. I wouldn't remove any pesto for it to look more presentable.

Damn this was soooo sweet. Definitely delicious if you have an intense #sweettooth, but maybe was a bit too sweet for me. Gooey sweet caramel with nuts and a thick layer of chocolate. This was only half the size of the whole thing! I shared it with two other people and it was still too rich to finish.

I tried my aunt’s burger #forthedollar. The patty was really yummy although quite messy. And the blue cheese sauce was a bit too mild, couldn’t really taste it unfortunately.

This was the soup of the day! It was so thick, like a stew almost. It tasted really good, and was super warm and cozy on this super cold day! Very filling!
