Part of their oat rice series, this was too savoury greasy for me and lacked sufficient sides & greens ☹️ they automatically give you 2 pcs tofu and you choose 1 more side - I got burdock. But tofu was too flour-y so I didn’t enjoy. And then burdock was finished quickly enough and I found myself lacking side dishes to accompany the rice.
Though Rice had small bits of long beans and mushrooms and corn, they are peppered around so you wouldn’t expect It to be substantial.
As the name pre-empts “sesame oil” (not sure if its a bad day) but this was OVERLY greasy. While still alright for a few bites, It gets too jelak to eat as a main meal as the entire lot of rice is doused in sesame oil 😥 you’d definitely feel a need to fresh veggies to cut through the greasiness.
That aside, I do like the consistency of the rice oat grains - fluffy and distinctly separated and not too soft.
Chili is the sweet kind, with just a slight spice kick. I don’t like it much, only used it to give a different taste profile to the rice.
