The particular pizza photographed was of poor presentation and had very un-generous mozzarisella upon it. In fact, I was served a pizza with traditional/dairy cheese on before, repeatedly told it was Vegan and subsequently complained and received compensation. Having said that, I have ordered plant-based pizzas from Pizza Express several times without any issues and with a greater amount of Mozzarisella, which is delicious. Zizzi and Ask Italian use the same cheese-alternative. It is not a strong generic cheese taste of cheddar style (perhaps obvious as it’s named after mozzarella). It is based on coconut oil and very creamy, light and white colour; not stretchy, thick, yellow and burnt like the non-Vegan counterpart. The pizza base and tomato sauce are quite average.
