The dessert part of the lunch menu during our visit was this matcha ice cream served with fresh strawberries and Japanese tea. The ice cream really did taste like cerimonial grad matcha, so a little on the bitter side but very good. This place is fully vegan and has average prices. I can only recommend this fully vegan restaurant in Nara. It’s just a short walk from the park and the staff working there it’s lovely. During lunch they served a set-menu and this was the main dish part of that menu. It included a delicious miso soup, rice, a fermented salad, a very tasty tofu dish and some fried vegan meat with steamed vegetables. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The place is fully vegan so one more reason to support it. Prices were average. Great place to stop for lunch during a Nara day-trip. This fully vegan restaurant offers a special lunch formula with: a selection of starters (reviewed here), a main and a dessert. The woman working there was really lovely and welcoming. Cozy restaurant near Nara station and park. They offer a lunch set menu: - starters: mix of pickled veggies, salad with homemade dressing, a veggie fried roll, green beans and a sort of fermented "cheese" made from fermented sake byproduct (unfortunately I cannot remember the name) - mains: rice, miso soup (probably the tastiest I've ever had), shredded tofu and veggies, steamed soy meat, assorted vegetables and a dumpling - dessert: matcha ice cream Overall a great meal, healthy and tasty, and you can really feel that everything was prepared and presented with care. Portion sizes are perhaps on the smaller size, but perfectly fine for a stop during a day trip.

#2500th review🍾 I took a day trip from Kyoto to Nara to see its famous wild deer park and it was just as magical as I imagined!! I also found this little cute vegan restaurant run by two sweet sisters. The only option for lunch is this chef’s selection of dishes, and it was many! My favourite were the little plate of curry meat (first pic) and the sweet and sour meat (also first pic), as well as their homemade edamame tofu (second pic) and of course the matcha 💚 It was 3300¥ and worth it! #japanese #japan #vegantravel #tofu #matcha #vegantraveller
