Taste-wise, this peanut-filled charcoal crusted minjiang kueh was still pretty good - and for some weird reason, it also had an aftertaste of nasi lemak?! 😱 I probably needed some coffee too.Charcoal Peanut

Pro tip: this is assembled to order and served at prevailing temperatures, so ask for it to be heated up. Revenge is a dish best served cold - but as for pancakes? Best served warm. I much prefer the smooth red bean paste filling of the other death metal pancake as this nutty ground black sesame was a tad dry. Still utterly tasty and snackable though. Made to order with a generous filling-to-crust ratio, this combination of charcoal crust (you can choose from original or green tea crust too) and smooth, yummy red bean paste was quite perfect.Red Bean Charcoal Munchi Pancake
