This generous portion was just what was needed after a mornings hike . Beautiful Alpujarra village Mecina Fontales has the only vegetarian restaurant for miles . Tucked away in this typical Andalucian street you find vegan food 💓💚💓🔥💓🙏🏾💚 They’ve a few rooms too for hikers and anyone wanting to explore this amazing landscape .

Delicious baked aubergines with sesame seeds . So simple yet so good . The tapas was homemade bread and a delicious dip. Tapas is free here in Granada Province when you order a drink . #aubergine #veganisnotscary

Interesting sweet and sour flavours with this dish . Felt like a small portion but served on a bed of sticky rice it was rich and filling . I enjoyed it .

Tastey dish at this mountain retreat ! Very filling and nutritious after a mornings hike a swim in the waterfall pools of the Alpujarra . Great to find a vegetarian place with so many vegan options💚

This very cute place ,high up in the Alpujarran mountains was quite a treat . The village is called Mecina -Fondales and this vegetarian place is owned by a French couple . Half of the options are vegan and they are happy to prepare more if called in advance . The samosas were tasty and the chutney was the perfect compliment . They do have a bnb also for hikers which for a night or 2 would be fun . the landscapes are stunning.

Hecho con ingredientes locales y ecológicos por Bridget (la cocinera) con muchísimo amor. De lo mejorcito que hemos probado, el plato tiene muchísimo sabor. Todo un descubrimiento.
