This was my sweet dish of choice for the brunch formula at Checchi’s. To be honest I was a little bit disappointed that this was the only vegan option together with PB&J, I would have really loved some pancakes, because let’s say it, what kind of brunch is it if there are no pancakes? 🥞 I saw in the previous reviews that they used to have a vegan pancake option, I guess I was just unlucky with my visit. So yeah, this definitely wasn’t a bad dish, but the kind of thing I can normally make at home even during a weekday, so I didn’t really loved it as my brunch dish. The bowl had coconut yogurt, home made granola, dark chocolate chips, banana, peanut butter, lime zest and coconut flakes. This was my choice of hot drink with the brunch menu. In the case of the matcha latte there was an extra of 1€ for the brunch formula, making my overall price for the brunch 29€. I appreciated that they didn’t charge any extra for oat milk. The matcha was super good and I loved the latte art they presented it with 🥰 I don’t think it had any sweeteners in it, but it was perfectly balanced, not too bitter or “herby” like sometimes matcha can be. This was the salted dish part of the brunch formula. I opted for the vegan grilled cheese with kimchi, which was definitely an original idea for a brunch dish. It was also tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. I appreciated the texture and the addition of kimchi, however I found the vegan cheese to be a cheap one and not a particularly savory one. The cheese also didn’t melt at all. In the menu, for the salted dish, there was also another vegan option (avocado toast). The brunch formula at Checchi consisted of one salted dish, one side, one sweet dish, a hot beverage and a cold one. This was my side dish, unfortunately the only vegan option in the menu for sides. It was basically 3 carrots cooked with dukkah spices, I can’t say I was impressed. The taste wasn’t bad obviously, but I found it to be a lazy solution to make a cheap and vegan option. Also because the non vegan options seemed all very tasty and more elaborate. Price was 28€ for the whole brunch, excluding extras. #side #carrots #veganbrunch #brescia #brunch

I tried the brunch here, which I was told is one of the best brunch spots in town which also offers some vegan options. The brunch formula included: one salted dish, one side, one sweet dish, a hot beverage and a cold one. This cold pressed juice was my choice of the cold drink. It’s made with apple 🍏 pineapple 🍍 pear 🍐 and ginger 🫚 I personally loved it, it’s the kind of juice I really enjoy, fresh, sweet and slightly spicy.
