lovely comforting mylki drink from a blend of different plants: with turmeric ginger and cinnamon, and ashwanda and tulsi. I’m not familiar with the latter two, but keen to learn more about those plants if anyone knows about them. Bean Cafe’s milky beverages use Moma oat milk by default (gluten-free). Love the peanut butter and choc chip combo. This was cool. It’s not overly sweet, just nice and with a hint of salt too, which I just loved. I believe it’s gluten-free as well. Bean has a few sweets, both baked in-house and pastries from okja. Good lord this was such a beautiful meal, there’s so much going on here and I love everything about it. The scrambled tofu, homemade baked beans and the grilled oyster mushrooms were all so beautifully done and so delish. And the sliced greens with garlic and smoky celeriac bacon and grilled matoes were so gorgeous too. The sourdough slices were so crispy and lovely and seasoned well! I just love it when a breakfast comes together like this. Perfection. We fancied a stroll in a different part of town and I spotted this plant based cafe on the edge of Hackney Downs. It was a very pleasant place to take a break and served up these tasty #stuffedcroissant The stuffing was a #tofuscramble nicely spiced with turmeric and a good layer of sweet n sour pickle and capers. It’s in a block of industrial units so the interior has a simple brick and metal decor with lots of hanging plants🌱 #veganinlondon #hackney #plantbasedfood
