Sweet potato katsu curry

Love this and really enjoyed it. It’s from M&S… yummy

The sweet potato in this dish was hard and unpleasant. It would have been a nice dish otherwise. Definitely not buying again.

This wasn’t bad, but also not great either! I think the cooking timers were a little off but it’s very convenient. I think this should be cheaper. #veganin2020

The Plant Kitchen Range is at M&S is really impressive offering meals, pizzas, cooking ingredients to dessert. This time I tried the Plant Kitchen Sweet Potato Katsu Curry which is another Japanese inspired plant based dish just like their Sticky Teriyaki tofu which was delicious. The heating instructions were a little bit troublesome as you have to put the sweet potato in the oven or grill to get them crispy as they are covered in panko breadcrumbs. The rice and curry can be put in the microwave. As you can imagine, the sweet potato is just fluffy sweet potato in a crispy coating. I was more interested in the Katsu curry which was why I bought it. The curry sauce was loaded with edamame beans and the Katsu curry tasted like the real deal with some sweetness and mild heat but sadly it was a bit too salty so I couldn't finish the curry sauce or more rice would have been good.

Really liked this one! Very good crispy cover on the sweet potato sticks and the base was tasty and sweet, would buy again
