Protein Flapjack (Smooth Lemon)

I haven't tried #trek before, but I had to after reading such positive reviews. I totally agree with the positive reviews. Doesn't taste like a #proteinbar at all. The base is nice and crunchy. The topping has a really nice #lemon flavour. Can't wait to try more flavours!

I tried these lemon flapjacks as a breaktime treat at work. They had a good lemony flavour from the smooth lemon topping (which reminded me a bit of pre-packaged yogurt-topped flapjacks I ate in the past). The lemon layer could be a bit thicker and more generous but it was tasty. The flapjack itself is a little tough, but not unbearably so. I liked the crunchy "soya protein crispies" rippled throughout. It has 9g protein per bar which is helpful. I got mine on offer in Tesco for £2.25 for a box of three.

I get these bars for a super low price (less than 1€) as they are very often in offer at smart supermarket. Nutritionally it’s mostly fat (10gr) than protein, but still 9gr is a decent amount for a sweet snack that I usually have with my morning coffee. Recommended.

I’m a bit biased as I do love a #plantbased @Trek protein #flapjack. To me, they taste like a mix between a flapjack and a rice crispy cake (not sure if that’s the objective, but it works)! 😁 Love the #cocoa flavour, and these #lemon are just as good 🍋 🌱 Great for an easy snack #onthego 💚
