I decided to be a useful daughter and make the whole fam (5 of us)

a vegan chilli for dinner! The meat-free mince was super filling and it’s packed full of protein, so it’s ideal for a warm and hearty din in freezing January. It’s £2 for a pack, so excellent value for the large amount you get (we still have plenty leftover for tomorrow.) Keep expanding and impressing with your plant menu things, Aldi!

How I made the chilli (super easy!):

• sweat off an onion, garlic and pepper in a wee bit oil
• add the meat-free mince to give it a wee bit colour
• add in two tins of chopped tomatoes, some mixed beans & some chilli seasoning
• let it simmer, and kind of eyeball it until it’s ready
• add a handful of spinach, for some greens
•serve it up with a wee sprinkle of nutritional yeast and some coriander, et voilà!

Great value for money and cooks up well. Just add your favourite ingredients and off

you go. Shepherds pie last night but equally good for spag bol, chilli, lasagna etc.

#sustainable lovely taste and looks like real mince and very hard to tell the difference!

This is Aldi's veganuary range so might not last.

As always. This brand from Aldi is amazing. Tasty. Flavoursome. I mixed it with mushrooms,

garlic, green beens, carrot, pesto and Aldi ready cooked quinoa. Superb!

Not the biggest fan. Quite a squishy mince and it broke up really easily while

cooking. We used it for fajitas and that was the only thing that saved it flavour wise, definitely needs a lot of seasoning if you were to use it for a spag Bol or something like that. Not horrendous for its price but there’s a lot better options.
