Flatbread Mushroom Caramelized Onion & Fig

This is a really great flatbread pizza from Daiya and it's also #glutenfree and of course, #vegan. They've rolled out more avors as well. Instead of a traditional marinara sauce, this has a creamy garlic sauce base, #dairyfree mozzarella, feta, #mushroom, carmalized onion and sweet fig pieces. It's a delicious combination of both sweet and savory that pairs very well. The crust is nice and crispy, and it cooks in about 20 minutes. It was so promising, as I love all the ingredients listed in the product name, but in reality it was a letdown: the #fig could hardly be perceived at all, and so the #caramelizedonion . It was just a lot of cheese, even too much I would say. The #glutenfree crust was thin and crunchy.

#glutenfree I don’t know whether Daiya are getting better or whether I have forgotten the taste of cheese… either way… I didn’t hate this 🤩 Cannot taste the fig at all - but the caramelised onion works and as far as a cheapy frozen pizza goes I can’t fault it.

This is not super flavourful and weirdly creamy. The crust is also too thin and crunchy. I'm pretty disappointed and definitely wouldn't buy it again. #daiya #flatbread #veganisnotscary
