Festive vegan cheese selection

Una selezione di formaggi vegani che però mi ha un po deluso. Tendenzialmente tutti troppo dolciastri. Non li ricomprerei.

We loved this Ilchester Festive Selection and I was able to create my very first vegan cheeseboard! I absolutely love the Applewood smoked cheddar and my partner loves the Mexicana spicy cheese. The blue cheese was really good too and the melting mature worked really well with canelloni and shepherd's pie. Great range of products and lovely to have a vegan cheese selection box!

Good selection of cheese in this presentation pack. Not the biggest in individual pack sizes but a good taster pack. The Mexicana was reasonably fiery. Used in a salad which livened it up a little. Would buy again as individual packs.

This was a great selection of cheeses for a cheese board. They were all quite thin though but I don’t think that mattered too much as having thin pieces went nicely with crackers. I don’t usually like blue cheese but either this was mild or my tastes have changed. It definitely tasted of blue and it was one of my favourite cheeses this Christmas! The melting cheese was pretty good too, I mainly used that in toasties and it had a nice cheese pull to it. Again I haven’t tried the Mexicana one because I don’t like chilli or spicy food, but I assume it would be just as good. It’s a shame they are each wrapped in plastic but I’m not sure what would be a better way to package cheese

I was really excited to try this as we have had the appplewood smoked many times and it’s a big hit. I was never a fan of blue before and this was too much like what I remember so did not like the taste. If you liked blue then you will like it though. The jalapeño one was nice but the heat is a bit too much for me to handle. Very spicy! The melty cheddar was very good. We didn’t try it melted as we had it all on our cheeseboard, but the taste was similar to that of violife extra mature. #veganin2020 #cheese #cheeseboard #christmas
