Cookies No Cream Oat M!lk Chocolate Bar

Another amazing chocolate bar. My daughter preferred this one to the one with pretzels. Both very original and impressive.

There’s a tendency for major choc brands to label their products as ‘vegan’ while overlooking the human exploitation side of cocoa farming. Its infuriating, to say the least. But I’m thankful for the increased spotlight on this issue. Food Empowerment Project and other organisations constantly conduct checks for these many brands and where they’re sourcing their cocoa from. I appreciate these third-party checks, i guess that’s as much as we can base our decisions on as consumers. HiP seems to be one of the more ethical brands, from their list. All vegan, and their cocoa is sourced ethically from a family-owned supplier in Bogotá Colombia that works closely with farmers and invests in local community projects eg building schools. These chocs were also quite affordable. Oh yes, pretty tasty too, but more importantly all the other stuff too. Keen to try their other products. Do note they use oat milk, in case of allergies

While this isn’t the sweetest or creamiest vegan chocolate out there, something about the taste and texture is so more-ish and addictive, I can’t get enough of it! It’s probably in my top 3 vegan chocolates. I’ll definitely be buying this one again soon!
