Flavor, protein, small biz, delish! Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting Kaylee, the inimitable vegan founder of Zenblends, at the Taste of Plant Based Fest on the southside of Chicago in Calumet Park. In addition to creating unique & delicious cold-pressed juices, she also makes various flavors of energy bombs. I tried & purchased a package of the chocolate coconut flavor. Made with dates, almonds, cacao, chia seeds, almond butter, reishi, ashwagandha & maca, these delicious & healthy treats live up to their name, as they are absolute FLAVOR bombs! Added bonus: they boast 10 grams of plant protein per ball. 💣 (I also purchased a fresh-pressed juice, though I consumed it prior to snapping a pic). Highly highly recommend this wonderful woman owned biz & their delicious offerings. On another note, during our brief chat, Kaylee shared that her fiancé is not only vegan, but was raised in a vegan family.
