when it comes to protein bars, i’m really only a fan when it’s protein from nuts / seeds so this 88 Acres Chocolate Brownie Pumpkin Seed Bar is the perf quick snack for an easy 12g of protein! no weird protein flavor and the chocolate really comes through! 🍫🎃

Ummm....this does not taste like chocolate brownie at all. This bar is just straight pumpkin seed flavor and barely any sweetness. Also super oily ?? Not good. I had to add my own chocolate chips because otherwise I wouldn't be able to finish this bar. I like pumpkin seeds, but I would not buy this again.

Pumpkin seeds chocolate and rice syrup were the first and main notes I tasted. The bar was thick and more dry than not, which is why I don’t know if I’d say it was fudgey as they claim on the packaging. Maybe it would be better with a hot drink? The bar is also pretty small compared to the packaging. One bar (55g) is loaded with calories, fats and protein. 280 calories, 21g fat (4.5g saturated fat), and 12g protein to be exact. There are also 15g of carbs, which is great for those on a reduced-carb or keto diet. They also proudly claim that there are no isolates, nor palm oil used in the bar. Most of their ingredients are certified organic, which is also nice. I’m hesitant to recommend this because I don’t know if the experience warrants those amounts of calories and fats.
