Next Meats 'short rib steak' topped with caramelised onions and tomato relish. Contains alliums. Quite pricey since there is only a sandwich without any sides. ($14.90)
This combi was interesting, but felt like the whole didn’t amount to more than a sum of its parts. Bread was great (see previous review), roasted vegetables and caramelised onions/mushrooms were well done, Miyoko’s mozzarella was creamy, but the Next Meat “steak” wasn’t seasoned as well as those I’ve had at other places, so there was this Chinese-y five spice taste that made it taste more mock that it could’ve #veganisnotscary
I like the texture of the ‘next’ meat. The taste was alright but the meat tasted a little plain. Needs more sauce. #veganisnotscary
Omg!!!!! Mock meat + vegan cheese = #veganheaven 🥪 enjoyed this steak and cheese sandwich 🥪 more than the mushrooms and slaw. The cheese makes its flavour really nice and substantial. It all goes very well. Value wise, I am more willing to pay $14.90 for this meaty one, but still I'd consider $10 to be more reasonable for this size of a sandwich. With the set it was very filling though. And we got 30% off for #worldveganday . Got to try more stuff because I was sharing with my pal @theminttobe . #veganisnotscary 🥪
Wow! This sandwich was really good! Consisting of Yakiniku ‘short-rib’ steak topped with caramelised onions and tomato relish. They use next meats in here and the ‘cheese’ melts very well. Bought this as a takeaway and it still tasted great after heating it up again! #veganisnotscary
