Have to say pretty impressed by the overall quality of the vegan (aka strict vegetarian) meal on my #ana flight today from Singapore to Tokyo. First look I thought the white stuff was for sure some super creamy or cheesy blob but it turned out to be tofu that was pretty damn good. Perhaps a bit too oily but o was happy. And the veggie and fruit salads were both really good especially the eggplant. Finding good vegan food in Japan is a challenge every time so I really appreciate that the national #airline makes an effort, much more than a lot of other carriers I can think of!
I am a long time traveler on ANA and I have to say I’ve been impressed by the recent developments. First of all when I forgot to book my vegan meal they acted like they really cared. If you‘re vegan you understand my expectations were zero. Guess what they called my name to confirm my preferences. On board they made a special vegan meal for me. They even had a very nIce red apple instead of the ice cream and each snack had an equivalent. (except for the nuts which had Katsuo in it...) The meal was tasty and elaborate with efforts on the presentation. I’m getting used to it now. ANA is doing better. I only wish they would stop calling a Vegan meal Vegetarian... or VGTR. If they do change I’ll give them one more star. My conclusion is: vegan friendly. Need to keep pushing with feedback.(positive) #animalplace
