Vegan Curry Udon

I loved this! So happy they have a vegan option! Curry broth with noodles & some kind of “meaty” crumbles. There is a condiment station where you can add onions, cilantro & spice! A regular bowl was only $6.90...and very filling! I’ll be back

Marugame Udon just recently updated their menu to include an all-new Vegan Curry Udon, which I was super excited about! Curry udon is one of my personal favorite comfort dishes, since it’s warm, hearty, and has just enough spice to leave you feeling renewed. It’s perfect for when you’re feeling under the weather, or if it’s cold outside. Marugame Udon actually took inspiration from Indian curry for this dish, and they make all of the spices in-house. It was SO good! Incredibly flavorful, filling, and just what I needed on a cold Los Angeles night (yes, it does get cold in L.A.). It’s also super cost-accessible, especially for a college student like me, since you can get a huge bowl for around $8! On the side, I got inari, which is basically a sushi rice ball wrapped in tofu skin seasoned with an amazing sweet and tangy sauce. It was SO good dipped into the curry as well!

This was such a delicious dish, one of my new favs at Marugame Udon. If you love Japanese Curry, then you won’t be disappointed in this. Even my non-Vegan friends really enjoyed this dish. It does have a slight kick, so make sure to have plenty of water on hand!
