Tofu & Mushroom Ochazuke

Rice bowl topped with fried battered tofu, savoury sautéed mixed mushrooms including shiitake and enoki, edamame soybeans, fragrant crispy roasted rice, pickled daikon radish, shredded chilli pepper, and seaweed. 🍚🍄‍🟫🫛🌶️ Served with a teapot filled with konbu mushroom sencha dashi (savoury green tea broth) to be poured over the rice bowl. 🫖🍲 I have fond memories of eating ochazuke in Taiwan and Japan in the past, so I was happy to have a vegan version! Wished the tofu could have been seasoned for more flavour, but overall the dish was relatively tasty in a light, clean, and healthy way. Btw they have another vegan main in the menu at Odeon, also with tofu and mushrooms but alongside soba noodles. I was delighted to find a vegan-friendly ochazuke! Fried tofu was crispy on the outside and the generous portions of sauteed mushrooms, edamame and non-spicy shredded chilli pepper made it a lovely meal
