North Brooklyn is ground zero for the plant-based revolution! I ordered this Reuben with fries and held the cheese. The rye bread is perfect and the pastrami was grilled and somewhat crispy. How does anyone eat competing meat-based products? I immediately regretted every standard sandwich after the first bite. A+, will have again and again.
It may not look beautiful but this was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had 🤤 Hard for me to resist a vegan Reuben. It was packed with tender seitan, delicious melted vegan cheese, sauerkraut, pickles, and thousand island dressing spread on fresh rye bread. Can’t wait to go back and eat this again!
The tots were crispy and delish. The sandwich was really good. The bread and “meat” were great. I would have liked more sauerkraut and my pet peeve is when the Russian dressing isn’t sweet. Theirs isn’t, and it messes with the taste some for me. Also, unless you live salt ask them to go easy on it on the tots/fries.
Champs’ Reuben is the best vegan Reuben I’ve ever tried. It even beats out Orchard Grocer, which is hard to do. Just make sure to ask for extra sauce, as otherwise it can be a bit dry.
This is my favorite thing to eat at Champs and that says a lot because I like everything they have 😂 so good... try it! You won’t be disappointed.
