Fried Artichoke Hearts

Another favorite restaurant on Abbot Kinney Blvd is Butchers Daughter, we usually opt for the

pizzas, but this time we also decided to get a starter. He was hungry. We randomly picked the Fried Artichoke Hearts without much thought and were pleasantly surprised.
They were on a bed of dressed watercress and had a spicy pickled Fresno relish on top. They literally looked like chicken 🍗 at first glance, but tasted anything but.
I loved it. The spices worked so well together and left you wanting more.

I have been craving artichokes lately and was dreaming of having them when I go

to Rome next month. BUT…In the meantime I had lunch at The Butcher’s Daughter and found these lovelies on the menu. A very unique preparation with tons of flavor, and a bit of a kick. Really, really enjoyed this dish. Would order again for sure.
