I ordered this on an adventurous whim. I hated fish as a child and was all too happy to waive bubye to even the weakest tasting cod when I was old enough to make that decision myself. As a result I shy away from anything too sea-like, so dishes with nori, laver, seaweed etc. So heaven knows why I opted for this dish.
But I AM SO GLAD I did! Smoky carrot lox, fresh green avocado, arugula, pickled onion and beets, cashew cream cheese, THE most incredible pumpkinseed pesto, feta, dill, capers - served on a buttery vegan croissant. The flavours were all so delicate but came together beautifully.
This is such a well thought out menu, with caring, professional and chill staff. I really hope this cafe thrives and expands - possibly closer to my neighbourhood!
