I wanted to try the eggs here since they first started making them years ago, so when I found myself stuck in the storm in Toronto and needing breakfast, I asked my friend if we could go here for breakfast. They're known for an extensive vegan menu but they're an omni restaurant.
My friend and I both chose the Thursday special, since it was $14.99 instead of $19.99. It was "Three eggs with avocado and tomato." The eggs came any way, and the scrambled option is Just Egg, which I've had many times. I was so excited to try the house-made sunny side up eggs!
As per my last review, the house-made vegan eggs were a massive disappointment, and you can see the one gross photo here. They were replaced with a Just Egg scramble at my request. I appreciated that they didn't try to charge me extra for them.
The scrambled eggs were good and full of little veggies. I usually add more black salt to Just Eggs at home, and it was clear they didn't do that, so these weren't very eggy tasting, but the texture was perfect for a curious non-vegan.
Next time I want eggs I'll just do my usual and make the egg yolk dipping sauce from Sam Turnbull.
