This was quite nice. Filling was I think made of some sort of potato, tomatoes and cheese thing. Very savoury and nice.
How does this taste fresh? 😶 Excellent of course! 🤭 I can’t believe how long it’s been since I was last in KL 😵 …but I’m glad to get to re-try this #pie freshly heated up unlike my having it on the bus 😋 It’s still super heavy 🫄 but between the thick #pastry layers and the #tofuscramble and #veganbacon between this is to be expected 😙 I’m still not a fan of their #tomato forward sauce in a already tomato-filled #veganpie but I know there are tomato goths out there this would speak to 🤷♀️ I just happen not to speak to tomatoes because that’s a bit out there, okay Jerry? 🤨 Jeez… 🙄
I almost thought I wouldn’t be able to review this! 🙈 …until I found the receipt for it at the bottom of my tote! 🧾 RM20 for this, by the way 👆 Bus rides from KL to Singapore can take forever 🥱 and I can barely justify the waste of carbon that I am as is 😬 You will need a meal cause there’s absolutely nothing vegan at the pit stops and vegetarian places in Singapore typically close at 8pm or so 😴 This was so delicious though 😋 The #bbqsauce they gave with it was in my opinion quite unnecessary for a #pie that is already so #tomato heavy 🍅 The crust was pleasant even unheated but indeed far better when I baked whatever remained of it once home later that evening 🥧 I couldn’t make heads or tails of what they stuffed in there other than a tonne of tomato and onions 🧅 or what exactly was supposed to stand in place of #bacon but I really liked it 👌 I’ll do it justice by eating in next time! If only places this good could survive in Singapore 😭 #malaysianeats #vegantravel #eggismurder #eggfree
