so good! probably the best vege friendly mala i’ve tasted tbh!! it’s cooked well. spice levels are just right, i ordered mild and it’s not too spicy but not non existent either. i guess only bit of complaint is that since it’s not entirely vegan, they use the same kitchen equipment to cook.... spot the random piece of chicken(?) meat on the black fungus at the back? hahaha !! so it’s definitely not for picky vegan eaters :(
I love mala, not so much the experience post mala. But whenever I crave for it I go here, this one was mildly spicy 🌶 and I could finish most of it. Doubt I can handle more 🥵
Mala is one of my favourite foods so I'm a little biased here lol. My must haves are usually abalone mushroom, broccoli, beancurd puffs and instant noodles. The rest depends on my mood 😂The medium level here is the best for me, the highest spice level is actually not that spicy but gave me painful stomachaches and had me running to the toilet many times.
So nice! So many veggies to choose from and 3 spice levels. I just stuck with the mildest which was quite spicy for me. Their beancurd strips had such a lovely texture, making the dish quite meaty. Prefer the noodles to rice on the side but rice does help to mitigate the spice. Would probably not have rice next time. Good deal $83.50 for 10 of us and we couldn’t finish. Thanks @meowmeowfuzzyface for bringing us here! Just not so good their small bowls and utensils are disposable, would bring my own next time.
Surprisingly the line during lunch is non-existent! It's always packed in the evening. If you've a good spice threshold, definitely go for the spiciest, 大辣. Their mild tastes like nothing to me. Also do let the aunties know how many people is it for or they'll give a lot in portions. Bring your only reusables as they only have single-use disposables and serve rice in styrofoam bowls 😔
