Karage - vegan fried chicken

Actually, really delicious. A little bit greasy, but I think it worked with the sauce that they gave you to dip.

I worked at the Beer Tent at the Taste of Little Italy festival in Toronto last weekend. I got to the event 45 minutes before my shift and walked the entire length of the festival. I was happy to see that this staple #vegan #cafe had a stall on the street. I got their karage #chickun. It came with 3 pieces and some homemade #tartarsauce. I ate each one throughout my shift. They definitely got steamed in the box, but the flavour remained. It was delicious. Great texture of the #veganchicken. I thought $8.50 was a lot for 3 little pieces, but I knew it was going to be the only #veganrestaurant on the strip, so I wanted to support.

MUST TRY!!! This was delicious and amazing! The outside was so crispy and inside was very fresh with a meaty texture (not sure how they made it)! One of the best fried vegan chickens I’ve ever had. 4 pieces of deliciousness with a great tartar like sauce! #abillionlove
