‘Fish’ and Chips

Decent attempt at banana blossom fish. The chips are great, the dipping sauce goes well. But it's a little too oily. The owners did a good job over at their other restaurant (mockingbird) making this into a burger.

The Botanist really is worth the trip. I hadn’t tried fish alternatives before and this tempura battered banana blossom ‘fish’ did not disappoint. It was a huge portion so a good one to share between two with a side - we also had the Gado Gado Boats 😍
