Vale is like a health food Chipotle. They have an option where you can make your own grain or poke bowl. They have a few vegan proteins to choose from, and have good markings on their menu. I liked the plant wall, even though it's all plastic. It made the decor fun and unique, especially with the vines from the ceiling. The staff were friendly and it wasn't too busy for lunchtime on a Saturday. Everything is served in compostable bowls, but there are only trash receptacles, no organics or recycling.
There are two signature bowls that are marked vegan at Vale. The Earth Matters Bowl has quinoa, roasted broccoli, teriyaki paow/chickpea medley, and is topped with a citrus vinaigrette. The teriyaki sauce was very yummy, but did get a bit sweet with the citrus towards the end. The paow is a soy based protein that has a very soft texture. It broke apart easily and was very easy to chew and cut with just a plastic fork. The texture kind of threw me off, but it was fine. I wish it has a bit more veggies for interest. It got a bit monotonous. A sprinkling of sesame seeds and/or green onion would have elevated it a bit more. Overall it's a nice quick lunch that's wholesome and very filling. It's a bowl of a ton of protein. I'd be interested to know how many grams are packed in there considering the quinoa, chickpeas, and soy. $14 for a regular sized bowl.

This review earned $0.70 in donation credits. Ugh I even took pictures of and described the decor which I dislike doing. Well good to know that doesn't matter.
