A friend and I were going to get donuts and coffee before going birding last weekend but I had to cancel at the last minute. She surprised me later in the day by dropping off some donuts for me. It was such a kind gesture. She said she picked out the ones that called to her, and she ended up picking some of my favourites!
If you get a stuffed donut from Bloomers, know that it'll be PACKED with the stuffing. They don't skimp on that by any standard. Canadian Maple was my favourite donut at Tim's before going vegan. I'm so happy vegan places make them too. The filling is usually a vanilla custard/pudding but this was more of a very thick whipped cream. There was too much of it for my liking as it took away from the maple-ness and the actual donut for me. I honestly scooped most of it out and my partner happily ate it haha. Next time I'd be happier with a plain maple dip I think.
I often find their stuffed donuts to be a little too much, since their donuts are already huge and filling. Maybe there is such a thing as "too much of a good thing" 🤔😅
