This dish was jaw dropping when it came out! Such a huge portion size, lovely batter with dill and delicious tartar sauce and good chips. All in all a good meal, good portion, just quite greasy, couple easily share between two!
So delicious! Great portion size and great value for money! Would highly recommend a visit to Harmonium if you’re visiting Edinburgh 😊
The banana blossom did not taste of anything, which was dissapointing. But the batter, chips, mushie peas and pickle were great. Had a friend who us not vegan who LOVED it, so it gets a good score on that.
Really big fan of this. Last time I had it it wasn’t quite as fishy as usual, needed more nori. Definitely a favourite though. Chips are perfection.
First time visiting Harmonium, and first time trying out Banana Blossom ‘fish’! Who knew that this fleshy purple-skinned flower which grows at the end of a banana fruit cluster could be so tasty! It has a chunky, flaky texture, which makes it an ideal substitute for fish (we leave them in the sea). Accompanied by tangy tartare sauce and minty mushy peas, this is proper comfort food. How amazing that nature offers up such fabulous alternatives to killing other creatures simply to line the stomach. #willows
