Vegan Rendang Platter at Frisky Goat Bakery Cafe โ€” stevenneoh's Review (Jul 28, 2021)

Fascinating, in some ways a dish of extremes:
- The #rendang has a spice level from a different planet ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ, but the #cucumber and #turmericrice combination is meek
- The #mushroom (second shot is a close-up) is practically plain-boiled and lazily chucked into the rendang as if it were just like squid ๐Ÿ™„ (vegan never felt so normal ๐Ÿ˜‚), whereas the #tempeh was meticulously seasoned and then charred to the extent that it approximated the taste and look of burned fish (ikan bakar) ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
- A laudable attempt by a traditionally omnivorous establishment to offer a more socially conscious option, yet the third shot shows murder by plastic which they inflict upon their delivery customers ๐Ÿ˜–
