Review of Konjac Salmon Sashimi at Lucky Cat by katherinegloria

I’ve never been so stoked to be having vegan salmon right now, especially after watching Netflix’s documentary Seaspiracy! 🌊 I absolutely hated seafood growing up. I would go to all extremes to avoid them as a kid, let alone shelled creatures with claws & tails still intact when served on a plate — which simply reminded me of how this “meal” was once a living, breathing being.

This salmon replica is pretty tasteless. The texture is similar to jello, most probably made from konjac. However, presentation wise... a meat eater would be totally fooled. Not exactly my favourite dish, neither would it be something I will recommend. But i am primarily here for the lifelike “salmon sashimi” that stole the show. Given how realistic this sashimi platter looks, it just proves how much we do not need to be consuming those poor sentient beings 🐟 Protect our oceans & watch Seaspiracy on Netflix ✌🏻
