vegan high tea!! was super excited to finally go for this high tea after hearing so much about it:”) but found out that they have sadly changed the menu and now all they served is... bread. HAHA pretty underwhelming tbh. was expecting some gourmet treats but my mum and I agreed that these were things we could probably make at home on our own. swipe for the menu!! but regardless, the breads (all the same kind) were really soft and fluffy, like eating clouds HAHA and my favourite bread would be the grilled vegetable one and French fine bean with olive jam on baguette!! they were all served cold, and the grilled vegetables had this really nice mayo ish sauce slathered on it with really fresh veggies on top!! could be more generous with the veggies though. the French fine bean one was so good!! the baguette was nice and toasted and the olive jam was sweet, a really nice touch to the crunchy French beans!! also loved the cucumber cup topped with some pickled ish olive salsa? was really refreshing and could pop many in my mouth at one time HAHA

the sweets on the other hand was really meh. didn’t like the longan soy almond pudding, tastes like almond jelly which to me is like terrible cough syrup HAHA the dark choc strawberry was alright, but I could only taste the choc. mixed berry trifle was basically blueberry jam with some cream on top, was a bit too sweet for me. chocolate pistachio raspberry came in this little chocolate bowl and I quite liked it! the pistachio cream was really light, although a bit sweet, but the choc taste was too overwhelming at times though. red wine poached pear also really nice!!! idk how to describe it, really soft pear with super deep flavour! the mochi was quite disappointing, filled with too sweet red bean paste and the mochi was hard:”( overall the sweets were quite underwhelming. also take note they aren’t refillable! only the savouries are.

the vegan scones were basically bread 2.0 HAHHAHAHA this entire high tea set was basically me eating lots and lots of bread tbh. got full really quick. I preferred the raisin scone with little raisins in it to add a different flavour and texture. never had scones so not sure how they’re supposed to be like, but it’s really a mix of tough bread and cookie? like not super buttery or anything and I didn’t really know what I was eating tbh. but the vegan cream was really good though, so light and not too sweet! the jam on the other hand was pretty sure and jelat.

overall not sure if I’ll recommend this vegan high tea, doesn’t seem that worth for all the bread that was served:/ the service was also a little questionable, although the servers were all really friendly they kept getting my orders wrong. I wanted to ask for specific refills but they came TWICE with the entire savouries plate refilled like... I didn’t want the truffle one because I’m not a fan of truffle but I felt bad to reject HAHA and I asked them for the cucumber, grilled veggies and French bean one but they gave me everything except the grilled vegetables? asked them again and they gave me three cucumbers and three French bean ones even though I asked for only one French bean one? and then came back with four grilled vegetable ones even though i asked for one. was really confused but nvm HAHAHHA was so stuffed from all that bread after😰 #veganisnotscary
